Mandy is the owner of Celebrations and has been a certified professional wedding & event coordinator for 16 years. She has a background in catering and restaurant management paired with cake, floral and interior design work. Mandy loves coming up with creative ideas to your make wedding or event unique and personalized. She has lived in Durango, CO for the past 12 years, formally living on the beach in Destin, Fl . Mandy is married to a wonderful guy, Clay. Together they enjoy spending time farming, camping, gourmet cooking and traveling the world.
Celeste Green
Wedding Coordinator & Designer
Celeste has been a professional planner since 2008. She specializes in wedding design and is filled with creative ideas. Prior to wedding planning, she spent years as an art student, chef, and baker. In her free time, she teaches yoga, plays with her dogs, cooks for friends, does crafts and designs ideas for future weddings.
Deanna Jakino
Wedding & Event Coordinator
Deanna has worked with Celebrations since 2005 and in the Wedding Industry since 2003. She received Bachelor’s in Recreation Administration from San Diego State began work for Club Med in Crested Butte, where she met and married her husband Tony. It was then, after coordinating her own wedding that she realized her passion for Event Coordination and that she wanted to pursue it professionally. After visiting to Durango they realized this was the place to raise a family. They now have a 2-year-old daughter Katie and they enjoy playing in the Colorado Mountains. Deanna loves to spend time researching and dreaming of creative ways to make your wedding day special.
Sophia Johnson
Assistant Coordinator, Intern Summer 2011
Sophia graduated from Durango High School in spring of 2010 and now she is currently attending Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is majoring in Tourism and Hospitality Management and aspires to be a successful event coordinator. I became interested in the industry and event planning after working with Mandy Miller Winn on my high schools' Senior Prom. Every aspect, from the planning, to the setting up, to the outcome is a fun experience to me. I recently volunteered at Feastival! Feastival!, which was a huge fund-raising event for the Philly Fringe, a live arts festival in Philadelphia. The event consisted of over 60 restaruants, acrobats, ice bars, and live statues. The event was put on by Aurdrey Claire Taichman, who I currently work for as a hostess at her restaurant, Twenty Manning Grill. I plan on working with her on Feastival! next fall as well. Besides event planning I love to dance, travel, do new things and meet new people. I look forward to gaining much experience and learning more about the industry.
